Empathy. Such an overvalued and undervalued quality. The irony of inescapable contradiction made to be so in our times best seen through rather simple reckoning. Such a misunderstood and perverted spectrum in today’s globalizing Abrahamic teachings encapsulated best as modernity. The world put in motion to undermine and essentially terrorize all that does not proclaim obedience under it. Under being the key frame therein, never beside, alongside with it. So far from where any embracement of European infusions within Christianity began.

And nowhere on the planet that any of such faiths have since overtly imprinted are not without deep unwellness patternings from all they were positioned to deny by the ever always present reality of each’s role being relevant in all times therein everywhere. It doesn’t matter if most humans going about their lives within any of those structures were well intentioned, as those few that were not had larger global societal imprints thus far. And will likely continue to until vast deep humility is nourished in all directions. Yet we live within of all ironies, oneness social pressures wherein that is the farthest thing from what is wanted. To the contrary, demanded to not allow room for such amidst rigid victim hierarchies that all but deny the interdependence of how the world has actually been made to be what we see, don’t we?

Regardless, there is a continuity for denial of all that was as timeless before it and the refusal to allow organic outgrowth beyond it uncontrolled by a set centralized hierarchy. Of all the disservices to humanity, which are many, empathy’s corruption within it is perhaps the most stark for me. Why Christianity held so much sacredness and potential when dual faith from within European worlds was obvious and natural and why it became so nightmarish when it was pressured from the merchant external world far beyond it to put an end to it. And all foundations prior therein became slowly infiltrated with toxins dripping through all they touched leading to gross misunderstandings by the sheer reliance on what was allowed to be interpreted socially and that which was not.

We need look no further than amidst the wars of our times to see how controlled narratives have come to be and that good hearted humans have very little agency, even in our degrees of freedom at present, to have much any effect on what happens. How humans are bullied, often from all sides, into silence. At least that’s where we are thus far. What is right in front of us. How many lives are destroyed or tormented or threatened to be by disagreement with the dominant control structures, albeit grassroots or in power position structures? A more honest telltale sign of who and how directionally controlled such powers came to be across time too. We and our struggles are not special in time but rather a continuation of all we have inherited in systems not yet overcome.

I see the corruption of empathy best through the shaming of notions of shapeshifting in essence. While I make no claims to limit it to the references herein, when human narratives held space for valuing such things as simply possible and relevant and not to be shamed at all, they maintained the humility simultaneously that one was always supposed to return to knowing their individual embodiment too mattered. From my perspective, that self-love and full inhabitation of one’s individual body must be valued before loving any others, human or non-human. Simple, no need to be spelled out, and timelessly held in humble frameworks for nourishing unspoken humility. So much that was lost by the erasure and ghosting of near all peoples’ humanization on the planet.

We see the effects of dehumanization everywhere we look now, don’t we? Left right, black white, wrong right, masculine and feminine, lovers and fighters, joy and sadness, settlers and indigenous, even local and global, pagan and Christian, God and nature, all of which does mostly the same thing. Brews unwellness from denying how beautiful all of life is through its own expressions, including at this point of sweeping dehumanization: even in its ugliness.

Through my years of enduring pains for my devotion to witnessing the world and its conflicts, wanting to find my own way through perceiving how I was born to, instead of how and all I was being told to carry as my own burden or valuation, the least controversial from my lens to discuss such things, as well as any way through it, not merely casting it aside either, is through the breakdown between men and women and unfortunately, even the arising in existence of gender negation itself these days. Having said that, I will turn away from prose yet again, in my new movement for actively crossing of genres, towards where my heart is leading me to express itself in flow from within.

Strong women
lift
other women
up
but stronger women
still
lift men
up
too
all in the same breath

I trust in the divinity
of strong men
to value women
proportionately
as much as they do
their own selfs

I will not give in
to the weakness
Empire
wants me to
behold
that denies
the masculine
or feminine
its beauty
integrity
and resiliency
the same as me

Trust not
those
who take power
to stand over
others
in popular movements
built upon
dehumanizing
at the core of it

And that right there, shows me, in fabulous mirroring, why it was I have yet to really fit in. All of life is interconnected from my window looking outwardly. Though all I have endured has healed me from being hurt by all that will never make sense to my heart nor my spirit, I have learned I can still hold room for it, while not losing my own frame nor what matters most to me.

If one can acknowledge that a world organizing system denied unto women the recognition of the sacred within, that it was to only be acknowledgeable in a one centered masculine character outside of themselves, not them, and that that was deeply harmful, how can we not witness the same for men? That it was as harmful for men to be forced into a system that denied the sacred within their own selves too before having to extend it to another then to others in progression as somehow more important than them?

World unwellness makes so much more sense to me than ever before did it. As does the simplicity for how easy it would be to heal. Like nature, like water, like us. Nothing needed has ever been lost.
